Contact Events in London

Estonian Music Development Center together with the Estonian Embassy in London  organized Estonian classical music and jazz music contact events in London on the 22th of January and 11th of February.
The classical music event on the 22th of January took place in St Giles´ Cripplegate Church (Barbican, London). The aim of the event was to introduce Estonian classical musicians to London concert organizers, managers etc. Many Estonian music entrepreneurs and culture managers also participated in the event to find new contacts and to establish networks for future collaborations. Performers: Monika-Evelin Liiv (mezzosoprano), Sten Lassmann (piano), Anna-Liisa Bezrodny (violin), Ulla Krigul (organ), Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Glasperlenspiel Sinfonietta directed by Andres Mustonen (violin), with soloist Riivo Kallasmaa (oboe).

The jazz music event on the 11th of February took place in popular jazz club Club Inégales. Performers: Kadri Voorand trio, duo Tuule Kann - Jaak Sooäär and Oleg Pissarenko Band.

Previous events took place in September 2012 in St. Petersburg and in May 2013 in Berlin.

These contact events are a part of a project sponsored by Enterprise Estonia and European Union Regional Development Fund. Also supported by Estonian Ministry of Culture from program „Eesti Kultuur Maailmas“.

The next event is planned to take place in the Autumn of 2014 in Helsinki.
